Short bio: Sarah Vines is an experimental space plasma physicist and Co-PI of AMPERE-3 whose research focuses on the dynamics of solar wind-magnetosphere interactions in the outer magnetosphere at the magnetopause and coupling to the polar cap region through field-aligned current systems. She extensively utilizes multi-point and multi-mission data analysis techniques to explore the ion- to large-scale processes and effects of low frequency waves, Birkeland currents, and dayside magnetic reconnection.
