Katie Garcia

Katherine Garcia-Sage is the magnetosphere-ionosphere-thermosphere subject matter expert at the Community Coordinated Modeling Center. She carries out onboarding, visualization and analysis, and validation of CCMC-hosted M-I-T coupling models and tools, including auroral region models, satellite drag, and ionospheric outflow. Her main scientific interest is ionospheric outflow at Earth, Jupiter, and other planets, as well as understanding the effects of magnetospheric energy input in the ionosphere and thermosphere.
